Written by Good Neighbors of TI/YBI
Tuesday, 11 December 2007

To view the latest statistics of crime on the Islands, please open the November 2007 Crime Report.

Future reports will include more detailed information what kind of crimes took place where (we will only be able to provide the basic area but not the actual address).

Also, we are working with an organization to help create our own crime map similar to the one the rest of San Francisco uses (the SF Crime map maintained by the police does not seem to accurately reflect the actual stats.

Burglary on the Rise - Our New Third Peak? PDF Print E-mail
Written by Island Watch
Thursday, 04 December 2008

Active ImageNovember of 2008 is the third largest peak in burglaries since 9/2006. Will December top it?

The Island saw a dramatic increase in burglaries in the month of November (see chart to your left) over October. In total, there were nine reported burglaries in Nov.

So far in December there have been two burglary reports, two thefts from vehicles, two theft reports, and one robbery on the Island.

As mentioned in previous articles - TI, like the rest of the bay area, experiences a raise in crime this time of year. Please immediately report any suspicious activity to the non-emergency line (415-553-0123) and report crimes in action to 911.
